Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Educator apprentice to join our vibrant early childhood education team. This role involves supporting the development and well-being of young children within a nurturing environment. The successful candidate will work closely with qualified staff to deliver high-quality care and educational activities, fostering a safe and stimulating space for children to learn and grow. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about working with children and eager to develop their skills in early years education.
Duties
Assist in planning and delivering engaging educational activities tailored to children's developmental needs
Support children's daily routines, including mealtimes, naps, and playtime
Supervise children both indoors and outdoors, ensuring their safety at all times
Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction among children
Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment in line with health and safety regulations
Collaborate with colleagues to monitor children's progress and share observations
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's activities and well-being
Support the management team in implementing nursery policies and procedures
Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance childcare skills and knowledge
Experience
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Demonstrated management or leadership skills are advantageous for supporting team activities
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
