Hours: 30–40 hours per week (on a shift basis)

Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprentice to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood development to gain real-life experience while studying toward a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.
You will support children’s growth through play, routines, and hands-on learning, working closely with experienced practitioners in a nurturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
Support children aged 0–5 through creative, play-based learning and developmentally appropriate activities.
Assist in age-specific rooms with daily care routines including nappy changing, toileting, and mealtimes.
Help prepare, set up, and tidy away activities and resources to support children's learning.
Observe and monitor children’s progress, contributing to individual learning records in line with the EYFS framework.
Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive learning environment for all children.
Promote emotional well-being and positive behaviour through warm, responsive interactions.
Work collaboratively with team members to support the smooth operation of the nursery day.
Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies to ensure high standards of care.
Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Take part in training, supervision, and learning opportunities as part of your apprenticeship.
Requirements
Must hold or be working toward a Level 2 Early Years qualification.
A genuine interest in working with young children in an early years setting.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Friendly, responsible, and proactive attitude.
Understanding of or willingness to learn about safeguarding and child protection (training provided).
Flexibility to work shifts across nursery hours (30–40 hours per week).
Desirable
Previous experience in a nursery or childcare environment is helpful but not essential.
Interest in progressing to a full-time permanent role upon completion of the apprenticeship.
