Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated and nurturing Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprentice to join our supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about early years education to gain practical experience while working toward their Level 3 qualification.
You’ll play a key role in supporting children’s learning and development through Montessori-guided play and care, while also contributing to the overall running of the nursery.
Key Responsibilities
Support the care, learning, and development of children aged 0–5 within a Montessori framework.
Assist in planning and delivering child-centred, hands-on activities that encourage independence and self-directed learning.
Act as a key person for a small group of children, building strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families.
Observe and monitor children's progress, contributing to individual learning plans and documentation.
Support daily care routines, including hygiene, toileting, meals, and rest periods.
Help set up and maintain clean, safe, and engaging indoor and outdoor learning environments.
Uphold nursery policies and procedures, particularly regarding safeguarding and child welfare.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and parents to ensure a consistent, high-quality approach to care and learning.
Participate in training and development activities as part of your apprenticeship.
Requirements
Must hold or be working toward a Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years.
Genuine interest in child development and the Montessori approach to early education.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team in a structured yet flexible setting.
Understanding of safeguarding practices and commitment to children’s well-being (training will be provided).
Flexibility to work shifts across the nursery’s operating hours.
Desirable
Previous experience in an early years or Montessori setting is beneficial but not essential.
Interest in progressing to a full-time Early Years Educator role post-apprenticeship.
What We Offer
Salary range of £11,778 – £12,480 per annum (based on experience and responsibilities).
Part-time role: 36 hours per week, worked on a rotating shift basis.
Full support and mentoring to complete your Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.
