Position Overview
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprentice to join our warm and dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a Montessori-inspired setting while studying toward your Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.
As an apprentice, you will support qualified staff in creating a caring and stimulating environment, enabling children to explore and thrive through guided Montessori activities and structured care routines.
Key Responsibilities
Support children aged 0–5 in their daily routines and Montessori-led learning activities.
Assist with setting up and maintaining Montessori materials and learning environments.
Observe and record children's development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Montessori guidance.
Promote children’s independence, choice, and concentration through child-led exploration.
Help with care routines, including toileting, hygiene, mealtimes, and sleep schedules.
Maintain a clean, calm, and safe environment that supports children’s emotional and physical well-being.
Work collaboratively with team members to support the smooth running of the nursery day.
Follow safeguarding policies and ensure the welfare of all children in your care.
Engage with parents, carers, and colleagues professionally and respectfully.
Requirements
Ideally hold or be working toward a Level 2 qualification in Childcare/Early Years.
A strong interest in early childhood development and the Montessori approach.
Good communication skills and a patient, nurturing attitude.
Ability to work as part of a small, supportive team.
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities (training provided).
Flexibility to work various shifts during nursery opening hours.
Desirable
Experience or interest in working within a Montessori setting.
Desire to continue into a full-time permanent position after completing the apprenticeship.
