Salary: £16,230 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week (on a shift rota)
Contract Type: Apprenticeship, with the possibility of a full-time role upon completion

Lynton House Day Nursery is a well-established private nursery located in Epsom (KT17), providing full-day childcare for children aged 0–5 years. Operating from a charming converted residential property, we pride ourselves on our small, close-knit team and the provision of a warm, home-from-home environment. Our setting follows a structured daily routine designed to support children’s learning, development, and well-being.
Position Overview
We are looking for a caring and committed Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprentice to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a professional nursery setting while studying for your Level 3 Early Years qualification. You'll work alongside experienced practitioners, supporting children’s development through engaging activities, care routines, and structured learning.
Key Responsibilities
Support the care and learning of children aged 0–5 in a nurturing, structured environment.
Assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate, play-based activities that promote child development.
Help with daily care routines, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene tasks.
Engage children in stimulating indoor and outdoor activities.
Observe and record children’s progress in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and organised setting.
Collaborate with the nursery team to support the daily running of the nursery.
Uphold safeguarding policies and promote the health and well-being of all children.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, children, and parents.
Requirements
A Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (or working towards one).
A genuine passion for working with young children.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a small team.
A caring, patient, and responsible attitude.
Awareness of safeguarding and child protection (training will be provided).
Flexibility to work shifts between nursery operating hours.
Desirable
Previous experience in a childcare setting is helpful but not essential.
Interest in securing a permanent role in Early Years education following successful apprenticeship completion.
