What Will You Be Doing?
As an apprentice, you'll work closely with the early years team to support the delivery of day-to-day childcare duties. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the planning and delivery of engaging learning experiences that support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Supporting children’s personal, social, and emotional development through routine, play, and exploration.
- Helping children with everyday needs such as mealtimes, toileting, dressing, and rest periods.
- Encouraging language, literacy, and numeracy development through storytelling, role play, and games.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and inclusive environment in line with health and safety and safeguarding protocols.
- Supporting the creation of individual learning profiles, observations, and progress tracking.
- Communicating with staff and parents in a respectful and professional manner to support each child’s development.
Apprenticeship Programme Details
- Your training will be delivered by Professional Training Solutions and includes:
- A Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification (fully funded).
- Blended delivery with on-the-job training, independent study, and regular tutor visits.
- Access to e-learning, resources, and practical assignments to support your development.
- Functional Skills in English and Maths will be provided if not already achieved at Level 2.
