Early Years Educator – Level 3 Apprenticeship
Overview of the Role:
We are offering an exciting opportunity to undertake a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about childcare and early years education, providing a pathway to develop both practical and theoretical skills while working in a nurturing and stimulating environment.
As an apprentice, you will be an integral part of PJ Childcare's nursery team, supporting the delivery of high-quality care and learning experiences for young children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and delivery of a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
- Support in setting up and clearing the learning environment, ensuring all equipment and toys are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Act as part of the key person system, supporting a small group of children, liaising with parents/carers, and ensuring individual needs are identified and met.
- Report any concerns regarding child protection, safety, or wellbeing to the Nursery Manager, maintaining appropriate levels of confidentiality.
- Be aware of and support any special educational needs or disabilities, following relevant learning and care plans.
- Support children’s learning through play, offering the right balance of challenge and encouragement.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding information about children, families, or staff acquired through the course of your role.
Training & Development:
- You will be enrolled on a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship, with support from our in-house nursery team and external training provider, Professional Training Solutions.
- On successful completion, you will be qualified to work as a full member of the nursery team.
- We encourage continued professional development, with opportunities to progress to higher levels of qualifications, including a degree in Early Childhood Education.
