Your Role as an Apprentice
As an Early Years Apprentice, you’ll support the care, learning, and development of children across a variety of age groups — from babies to preschoolers. Under the guidance of experienced practitioners, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Supporting creative play, educational activities, and child-led learning
Helping to implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
Assisting with personal care routines — including hygiene, feeding, and changing
Contributing to observations, learning journals, and development tracking
Supporting smooth transitions throughout the day — mealtimes, naps, and pick-up
Building strong, supportive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Promoting a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment at all times
You will be part of a passionate and collaborative team that values individual strengths and promotes continuous learning.
Training and Qualification Details
Your apprenticeship training will be delivered by Professional Training Solutions and includes:
A fully funded Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification
A flexible, blended delivery model: workplace learning, online study, and regular tutor visits
Support with Functional Skills in English and Maths, if not already achieved at Level 2
Access to experienced mentors and assessors to guide your development
Practical projects and assessments that reflect your daily work in the nursery
