Overview of the Role:
Professional Training Solutions is excited to be working with Kiddicare Nursery, a reputable early years setting in Friern Barnet, North London, to offer a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and caring individual to train and work in a supportive nursery rated “Good” by Ofsted. You'll be part of a passionate team that places children's wellbeing and learning at the heart of everything they do, while developing your knowledge and skills through structured training and hands-on experience.
About Kiddicare Nursery:
Kiddicare provides high-quality early years education and care for children aged 0 to 5 years, in a welcoming and structured environment. Located in Friern Barnet (N11), the nursery is guided by a strong team ethos and focuses on helping every child develop through play, routine, and individualised support. The setting follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and promotes a safe, inclusive atmosphere for all children.
Key Responsibilities:
- As an Early Years Educator Apprentice, your role will involve:
- Supporting children’s learning and development through age-appropriate activities and play.
- Assisting with daily routines, including meals, toileting, and transitions between activities.
- Preparing and setting up creative and educational activities across the nursery rooms.
- Contributing to the implementation of the key person approach, helping build strong relationships with children and families.
- Monitoring and recording children's progress through observations and learning journals.
- Promoting children’s physical and emotional wellbeing in a safe and secure environment.
- Supporting the team with housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and organised setting.
- Following nursery safeguarding, health & safety, and behaviour management policies.
Training and Development:
This apprenticeship includes:
- A fully funded Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, delivered by Professional Training Solutions.
- A blend of on-site training, online learning, and dedicated study time, tailored to suit your needs.
- Ongoing support from a dedicated tutor and nursery mentor.
- Functional Skills in English and Maths will be provided if not already achieved at Level 2.
Candidate Requirements:
- A Level 2 childcare qualification is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine interest in working with children in a nurturing, educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- Ability to work flexibly as part of a team within a shift-based schedule.
